A collection of antique pharmaceutical and chemist equipment comprising various glass vessels and compounding tools. The set features a variety of clear and amber glass apothecary bottles with ground glass stoppers, many of which retain original paper labels. A significant inclusion is a large etched chemist bottle bearing the inscription Williamson & [illegible] Chemists North Shields above a circular monogram logo with the intertwined letters WH. The base of this vessel is etched with Vienna Made St[illegible]. Also present is a partial paper label reading [illegible] Tynemouth on the shoulder.

The glassware includes two graduated measuring vessels, one conical and one cylindrical, featuring etched scales with Roman numerals III, II, I and numerical increments from 10 to 50. several rectangular medicine bottles are included in the group. Compounding equipment consists of two ceramic mortars, one finished in cream and the other in a terracotta tone, alongside a pestle with a ceramic head and a turned wooden handle. The entire collection is housed in an open wooden crate.
