A collection of United Kingdom cupro-nickel coins dating from the mid-20th century, comprising various denominations including Half Crowns, Two Shillings (Florins), Shillings, Sixpences, and 5 New Pence coins. The obverses feature the uncrowned effigies of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse designs are heraldic, featuring motifs such as the Tudor rose, thistle, shamrock, and leek; the English lion standing on a crown; and the three lions of England on a shield. Dates visible include 1948, 1954, 1956, 1959, 1960, 1966, 1968, 1970, and 1971. The coins have milled edges. The lot is accompanied by a small square-section cut-glass jar with a separate patterned glass stopper.
