An English 19th-century two-tone salt-glazed stoneware storage bottle or flagon. The vessel features a cylindrical form that tapers at the shoulder to a short neck ending in a thickened, rounded rim. The exterior is finished with a traditional salt-glaze, displaying a dark brown ferruginous slip on the upper section and a buff-coloured glaze on the lower body. Three horizontal incised lines decorate the shoulder. There are no visible maker’s marks, stamps, or capacity indicators.
