A collection of approximately seven vintage black and white photographs, primarily mounted on brown card stock, dating from the post-1952 period. The most prominent image displays a large group portrait of male and female police officers in uniform. Accompanying this image is a silver-toned metal police helmet plate or cap badge, circular in form and surmounted by a crown. It bears the inscriptions “NORTHUMBRIA” above, “POLICE” below, and a prominent “ER” (Elizabeth Regina) in the center, identifying it with the Northumbria Police force. Other photographs in the collection depict interior views of what appears to be a large hall, decorated with numerous flags, including a Union Jack, alongside target practice equipment.
