A cast iron fire insurance plaque for North Shropshire & Wales. The ornate, multi-color painted plaque is shaped with four prominent lobes and decorative scrolls. The central circular motif features a gold-colored crown atop three white plumes or ostrich feathers on a dark green background. Arched around this central design, in raised gold lettering on a dark brown field, is the English text ‘NORTH SHROPSHIRE & WALES’.
