Auction 8th December - Antiques, Jewellery, Militaria, Coins, Vinyl, Toys, Ceramics, Collectables & More
An early 19th Century Derby porcelain coffee can, decorated in the Imari pattern. This porcelain cup features an ornate, multi-panel decoration in an Imari-inspired palette, predominantly utilizing cobalt blue, iron red/orange, and extensive gilding. The design includes stylized floral motifs, intricate scrolling patterns, and geometric details. The molded handle remains undecorated in white. The unglazed base bears hand-painted markings in red: the number “53” and a factory mark depicting a crown above what appears to be intertwined letters, possibly “X” and “P.” A small blue dot is also present on the base.
