A set of eight vintage classic hardback books published by Odhams Press Limited, Long Acre, London, W.C.2, circa 1930s. The matching set is uniformly bound in a textured brown imitation leather or patterned cloth, featuring ornate gilt-stamped titles, authors, and decorative motifs on the spines. Titles include ‘Robinson Crusoe’ by Defoe, ‘The Count of Monte Cristo’ (Vol. 1 & 2) by Dumas, ‘Lorna Doone’ by Blackmore, ‘The Scarlet Letter’ by Hawthorne, ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’ by Hugo, and ‘Tales of Mystery and Imagination’ by Poe.
