A Moorcroft Cobalt Blue Orchid Pattern Footed Vase. This ceramic vessel features a deep cobalt blue ground, adorned with vibrant, polychrome raised enamel decoration. The relief design depicts a large, stylized orchid flower with red and pink petals accented with light blue, centered by a yellow-green pistil, flanked by green leaves and smaller buds. The decoration is executed with a tube-lining or raised slip technique. The interior is glazed in a matching dark blue. The base is impressed with ‘MOORCROFT’ and ‘MADE IN ENGLAND’ marks, along with additional visible impressed marks.
