A pair of glazed ceramic figurines by Royal Doulton, depicting young women in period attire. The left figure, ‘Marie’ (HN1370), wears an off-the-shoulder gown with a gradient from light lavender to deep purple and blue. The right figure, ‘Rose’ (HN1368), wears a ruffled, tiered gown with a gradient from light pink to reddish-pink. Both figures feature light brown hair and delicate facial features. The undersides of both figurines bear identical black printed Royal Doulton England backstamps, featuring a crowned lion over a circle containing another lion rampant and crown. Each is further marked with its respective handwritten name (‘Marie’ and ‘Rose’), model number (‘HN1370’ and ‘HN1368’), and the phrase “Potted by Doulton & Co.” Additional handwritten markings such as “M 3.P” and “S” are also present.
