A group of four 19th Century Indian hand-painted terracotta figures, consistent with examples dating to the first half of the 19th century and depicting individuals in traditional Indian attire, including various castes, artisans, or tradesmen. The group comprises a standing woman carrying objects, a man in a red coat holding a book, a seated man engaged in craftwork, and another standing man with a red turban holding an implement. All figures are mounted on integral bases, either circular or rectangular. The figures are accompanied by a collection of numerous broken fragments, likely from these or similar pieces.

Condition report:
Fair to poor condition. Extensive paint loss, chipping, and surface abrasions are present throughout all figures. One figure (man in red coat) is missing an arm. Significant structural damage is evident, including multiple detached elements and accompanying fragments. General wear consistent with age and material.
