An RAF Benevolent Fund Bell, cast with metal from German aircraft shot down during the 1939-45 War. This commemorative bell is cast from a uniform grey metal, possibly zinc or a similar alloy, exhibiting a granular surface texture. It features a prominent ‘V’ (Victory) symbol finial and is embossed with the profile portrait of a man, strongly resembling Winston Churchill. Around the flared base, raised lettering reads: “CAST WITH METAL FROM GERMAN AIRCRAFT SHOT DOWN DELIVERED 1939-45 WAR.” The item retains its internal clapper.
