A substantial Royal Doulton ‘Merryweather’ Art Deco dinner and tea service, manufactured in England. The collection features a bold transfer-printed design of stylized foliage, floral/berry clusters, and cloud motifs in a vibrant palette of dark blue, yellow, and green, framed by a geometric fret border and finished with a gilded or orange rim. The visible “ROYAL DOULTON, ” “MADE IN ENGLAND, ” and “MERRYWEATHr” backstamp, alongside Registered Numbers R.Nº597783. and R.Nº726292, suggests an early 20th-century origin, consistent with the Art Deco style and a 1933 production date. The extensive service comprises numerous octagonal and oval plates in various sizes, teacups with octagonal saucers, soup bowls, graduated oval serving platters, multiple covered tureens with matching lids and a ladle, and a creamer.
