Auction 8th December - Antiques, Jewellery, Militaria, Coins, Vinyl, Toys, Ceramics, Collectables & More
A collection comprising nine items of varying materials and periods. Included are three pieces of children’s plasticware: a yellow plate inscribed ‘Le Mariage Enchanté’ (The Enchanted Marriage) featuring a cartoon boy and dog, accompanied by one yellow and one pink plastic cup, each decorated with a cartoon figure. The ceramic items consist of an oval Royal Doulton platter depicting a ‘Brook Trout’ with a gilt scalloped edge, marked ‘ROYAL-DOULTON ENGLAND’ on the reverse; a small Royal Doulton ‘Rustic England’ boot-shaped vase with a pastoral transferware scene and marked ‘D-5694’; and a Solian Ware commemorative mug for King Edward VIII, dated ‘XMAS 1936’, decorated with his portrait and the royal mottoes ‘Honi soit qui mal y pense’ and ‘Et mon droit’. Rounding out the lot are two metal objects: a brass wall-mounted implement, designed with a golf club handle, likely a tea infuser; and a Ronson petrol lighter with a reddish-brown textured metal casing, presented in its original box featuring a Royal Warrant.
