A hand-painted porcelain figurine by Wedgwood & Co Ltd., titled ‘Cello’ (model 120). The figurine depicts a male figure in 18th-century style attire, including a powdered wig, frock coat, and breeches, seated and playing a cello. A small dog rests beside his left foot. The base is adorned with gilded scrollwork. The underside bears printed marks in brown: ‘Handpainted, ‘ a unicorn device, ‘WEDGWOOD & CO LTD., ‘ ‘ENGLAND, ‘ ‘COPYRIGHT, ‘ ‘CELLO, ‘ and ‘120.’
