An antique sterling silver folding fruit knife, featuring a single silver blade and mother-of-pearl handle scales. The blade is hallmarked with the Lion Passant, Leopard’s Head Crowned (London assay office), a date letter ‘Y’ for 1883-1884, and a maker’s mark ‘H & T’. The handle is accented with a silver butt cap and one scale incorporates a plain, shield-shaped escutcheon plate.
