A set of six George V sterling silver tea or coffee spoons, assayed in Sheffield in 1915. Each spoon features a plain, traditional design with an oval bowl and a tapered handle. Hallmarks visible on one spoon include the lion passant for sterling silver, the crown for the Sheffield assay office, and the date letter ‘X’ for 1915, alongside a legible maker’s mark. The spoons are presented in their original rectangular, hinged fitted case. The exterior is crafted from black faux leather with gold-colored tooling around the edges. The interior is lined with dark blue velvet for the spoon compartments and an off-white satin-like material for the lid.
