A framed watercolor painting by Victor Noble Rainbird (1888-1936), titled “The Bay. Cullercoats.” The artwork depicts a coastal scene rendered in a loose, sketch-like style, featuring a bay with numerous boats, a sandy shoreline populated with figures, and a town situated on a cliffside in the background. The painting is signed “VICTOR NOBLE-RAINBIRD” in the lower left and titled “THE BAY. CULLERCOATS” in the lower right. It is presented under glass, within a cream-colored mat and housed in a simple brown wooden frame. The reverse of the frame bears a paper label for “F. L. EAMES, FRAMELESS MIRROR SPECIALIST, DEALER IN FINE ART, ” listing locations in North Shields and Whitley Bay, suggesting professional framing.
Condition report:
The artwork itself appears to be in good condition with vibrant colors. The frame shows minor scuffs consistent with age.
