A framed watercolor painting by Percy Scott, dated 1900, depicting a representational late Victorian/Edwardian marine scene. The artwork showcases sailing vessels on a choppy sea with a distant coastline under a hazy sky. It is signed “Percy Scott. 1900” in the lower right of the image. The title “Near Weymouth” is inscribed on the lower mat. The watercolor is housed in a giltwood frame with a multi-layered mat. A historical label on the reverse confirms the artist and identifies the title as “OFF Weymouth, ” noting it as a watercolor and indicating a valuation from August 1989 for auction in Dorchester, Dorset.
