This is a Japanese ceremonial textile identified through research as a fukusa (gift cover). The item is constructed from a deep navy blue satin or silk-like synthetic ground material. It features extensive, detailed multicolored embroidery depicting a traditional East Asian landscape scene. The composition includes a prominent red arched bridge (taikobashi) spanning a flowing river, reinforced stone retaining walls, and various trees rendered in autumnal colors. Traditional structures, resembling pavilions or temples, and stone lanterns (tōrō) are incorporated into the upper register of the scene. The embroidery utilizes threads in greens, browns, reds, oranges, white, and shades of gray.
