A single sculptural stoneware ewer or jug, featuring a heavily applied high-relief decoration emphasizing marine life. The vessel is constructed from heavy stoneware and covered in a mottled, textured glaze exhibiting variegated earth tones, including tans, khaki greens, and dark browns. The body is adorned with a detailed octopus whose tentacles wrap around the jug’s body and neck. The spout is molded into the realistic head of a fish, and the handle is integrated into the overall organic structure. The base displays exposed, unglazed dark clay. No visible maker’s marks, signatures, or text were identified.
