A commemorative decorative bottle-shaped object by Keith Godwin, fashioned from a salvaged New Zealand Totara fence batten. The piece features a rectangular body with raw, weathered faces, contrasting with a smoothly turned neck and shoulder. The shoulder is incised with the text 1912, N.Z. TOTARA, and FENCE BATTEN. It includes a matching turned wooden stopper. An original oxidised metal staple remains embedded in one of the weathered faces. The base is finished with green felt.
