This collection of vintage O gauge model railway components was manufactured by Hornby under Meccano Ltd. The primary locomotive is a Hornby Type 40 black clockwork 0-4-0 tank locomotive, numbered 82011 with British Railways livery, accompanied by its corresponding winding key and tender. The rolling stock includes a British Railways Furniture van, an NE 13T open wagon, and a yellow Robert Hudson Leeds tipping wagon. The lot contains a substantial quantity of metal three-rail track, including straight sections, curves, points, and crossings. Many components are housed in their original red and orange cardboard boxes, including a No. 1 level crossing, No. 2 turntable, and No. 2 double arm signal. The set features various lithographed tinplate structures and accessories such as a goods depot, a No. 2 signal box labeled Cabine de Signalisation and Stellwerk, a platform crane, and various signals and buffers. The entire collection is presented in a vintage domed-top travel trunk featuring modern custom-fitted foam inserts and is accompanied by a Peppercorn Toys parts list for the Hornby Ultimate Goods Collection.
