A Persian style hand-knotted rug crafted from kork wool. The rectangular composition features a central ornate medallion set against an ivory field, densely decorated with intricate floral and foliate motifs in a palette of navy blue, terracotta, and gold. The field is enclosed by a wide primary border featuring repeating palmettes and several thinner decorative guard borders. The rug is finished with white tasselled fringes on two ends.
