A 19th-century English brass lantern clock of traditional revival form. The square-section case features relief-cast side panels decorated with foliate scrolls and a central mask. The front is surmounted by a pierced and scrolled cresting above a dial featuring twelve individual white enamel cartouches with red Roman numerals and black steel hands. The clock is topped by a silver-toned metal bell dome with engraved scrollwork, a central turned finial, and four matching corner finials. The structure is supported by four turned brass feet. The internal mechanical movement is visible from the open rear, constructed with brass plates and steel components.
