A decorative shadow box display featuring a pair of replica items: a miniature brass and dark wood Derringer-style pistol and a highly detailed brass powder flask. The pistol features engraved scrollwork on the frame and barrel. The powder flask is characterized by an intricate, radiating shell or floral motif embossed on its body and includes a dispensing nozzle and spout. These items are mounted against a reddish-brown backing within a heavily gilt wood frame. The frame features deep relief carvings executed in a Baroque or Victorian style, finished in gold with dark accents. The assembly is protected by a glass front.
