This elegant glazed porcelain figurine, titled “The Dancer” (model number 5050), was produced by the renowned Spanish manufacturer Lladró. Designed by sculptor Vicente Martínez and first issued in 1979, the piece depicts a graceful ballerina in a flowing gown of muted grey and blue tones. The figure is captured in a dynamic pose with her arms outstretched, delicately holding the folds of her skirt. The work showcases the signature Lladró aesthetic, characterised by soft pastel colours and a high-gloss finish. The underside of the circular base features the official blue stamped Lladró factory mark, “HAND MADE IN SPAIN, ” and the “© DAISA 1979” copyright designation. Additional impressed markings include “D-13 MX” and various artisan incised codes. The figurine is accompanied by its original grey branded presentation box from Valencia, Spain.
