A set of four Art Nouveau-style embossed 925 silver plaques depicting ‘The Seasons’ (comprising Primavera, Estate, Autunno, and Inverno), after the celebrated 1896 series by Alphonse Mucha (1860-1939). These decorative works are executed in a bas-relief technique on silver-laminated metal with hand-painted polychrome accents, capturing Mucha’s signature allegorical female figures within floral and seasonal landscapes. The plaques feature facsimile signatures for Mucha in the lower right of the Estate and Autunno panels. Each plaque is struck with Italian hallmarks, including a 925 silver purity mark, an Italian silversmith’s identification mark (star with registration numbers), and a boxed R indicating a bonded or laminated silver surface (rivestito). A silver weight mark of 3 + 5g is also visible. These posthumous decorative editions were produced by an unidentified Italian workshop in the late 20th century. Each is housed in a uniform dark wood frame with a gilded inner border and tan mat.
