A diverse assembly of British and Commonwealth military artifacts primarily dating from the Second World War era. The collection features a standard issue British military clasp knife (jack knife) manufactured by G. Ibberson and Co of Sheffield. The multi-tool includes a clip-point blade, a combination can/bottle opener, and a marlin spike, with black chequered Bexoid synthetic handles. The blade tang is stamped with the government Broad Arrow (Pheon) and the manufacturer’s distinctive violin logo. Accompanying the kit is a nickel-plated brass tubular whistle, a standard pattern for officers and NCOs, clearly stamped J. Hudson and Co Birmingham 1939. Also present is a lithographed yellow tin for Ointment, Anti-Gas No. 2, used for skin decontamination. The insignia selection includes an Australian Commonwealth Military Forces 3rd pattern Rising Sun cap badge, a King’s Crown Royal Air Force (RAF) cap badge, and bi-metal cap badges for The Royal Dragoons (1st Dragoons) and the West Yorkshire Regiment (Prince of Wales’s Own). The group is completed by a white-metal Yorkshire Regiment collar badge and two Reconnaissance Corps badges, one of which retains its regulation green felt backing.
