This collection of British decorative arts features a pair of Stuart Crystal lead crystal champagne flutes, decorated with deep-cut diamond and vertical wedge patterns on faceted stems with star-cut bases, presented in the original octagonal satin-lined box. Also included is a pair of Edinburgh Crystal lead crystal whisky tumblers in the Continental pattern, one of which features a commemorative etching of a bird in flight inscribed Brent – 25 Years, housed in the original manufacturer’s box. The lot further comprises two pieces of iridescent carnival glass, including an amethyst bowl with a peacock tail design and a marigold pedestal compote with embossed hobstar and fan motifs. Completing the collection is a Maling pottery globular vase, hand-painted with a fruit and vine design on a mottled cobalt blue ground, bearing the Newcastle-on-Tyne castle backstamp and pattern number 3890.
