A cold-cast resin figurine of a seated elephant calf by Grogg. The sculpture features a heavily textured surface simulating wrinkled skin, finished with a dark greenish-brown patina. The elephant is depicted in a seated pose with its trunk raised towards its face and one ear folded back. A distinctive artistic feature is a single translucent teardrop-shaped element positioned below the left eye. The piece includes lifelike inset eyes and cream-coloured pigment applied to the toenails and the tip of the trunk. The underside of the raised front limb bears an incised mark reading Grogg followed by a copyright symbol and the date 1996.
