A dark-stained wooden dome-top chest or trunk, designed in a colonial treasure chest style. The piece features a hinged upper compartment and a single pull-out drawer at the base. It is constructed with brass-toned metal decorative corner mounts and a central hasp to the top section. The lower drawer is fitted with a circular ring pull. The chest includes a top-mounted metal carrying handle and matching handles on both lateral sides. The interior of the main compartment is finished in a dark stain consistent with the exterior. No manufacturer marks, labels, or inscriptions are present on the piece. This item is in the style of Nautical Cove decorative storage boxes.
