A British military issue transit trunk or large suitcase, dated 1982. The item is constructed from a heavy duty beige canvas body with dark brown leather reinforcements at the corners and along the edges, secured with metal rivets. The front is fitted with a central leather carrying handle and two metal locking latches. The metal lock plates are stamped Geo. Anslow Ltd Willenhall. The interior canvas is stamped with the British Broad Arrow pheon mark, the date 1982, and the National Stock Number C.C. 8460-99-120-2554. The lid features the name DAKIN handwritten in white pigment. The interior contains leather securing straps and a canvas divider.
