A group of two items comprising a hand-carved lidded wooden vessel and a vintage tobacco tin. , featuring a pierced openwork body carved with high-relief elephants. The interior is fitted with a white metal liner, Anglo-Indian or Burmese craftsmanship. The cylindrical tobacco tin features a yellow paper label for Ogden’s Coolie Cut Plug, including a portrait of a man in a turban and various exhibition medals. The metal lid is embossed with the text OGDEN TRADE MARK ENGLAND surrounding a central tower motif.
