Royal Doulton Kingsware spirit flask manufactured for Dewar’s Whisky. The vessel is constructed from glazed stoneware featuring a deep chocolate brown treacle glaze. The front displays a moulded relief of an 18th-century Highland gentleman holding a dram glass, identified by the incised and gold-toned script Bonnie Prince Charlie at the base of the figure. The relief is decorated with multi-coloured glazes depicting a tartan pattern, ochre, and green tones. The item includes a brass-toned metal stopper with a spherical finial and an internal corkscrew attachment, stamped with Dewar’s Whisky on the mount. The underside of the base features a black printed Dewar’s Whisky mark and the Royal Doulton factory mark consisting of a lion atop a crown, a circular mark with an interlocking D monogram, and the word England, indicating a production date between 1902 and 1922.
