Monday 11th May - Antiques, Jewellery, Militaria, Coins, Comics Vinyl, Toys, Ceramics, Collectables
This lot features two mid-century modern art glass vessels. The first is a heavy-molded bowl with a deeply recessed organic texture, attributed to the Bark range designed by Geoffrey Baxter for Whitefriars. The glass is a gradated smoky amber-brown colour, deepening to a dark, near-black hue towards the base, and finished with a ground and polished flat rim. The second vessel is a molded glass bowl or ashtray in a deep olive green colour. It is designed with a minimalist, tiered cylindrical form, featuring a wide, smooth outer shoulder and a recessed central well. Both pieces are stylistically consistent with British or Northern European glass production from the 1960s to 1970s. No maker’s marks or signatures are visible on either item.
