A Border Fine Arts cold-cast resin figurine from the James Herriot collection titled Lost and Found, model number B0300. The polychrome sculpture depicts a shepherd in traditional country attire, including a flat cap, brown jacket, and green jumper, carrying a wooden crook. The figure is shown carrying a small lamb within a canvas shoulder bag, accompanied by a border collie standing alert on a craggy, moss-covered rocky outcrop. A second lamb is positioned in a hollow beneath the rock ledge. The piece is mounted on an oval polished wooden plinth with a green felt base. The rear of the rocky base features the incised letters BFA over PD and the name AYRES. A gold foil label on the underside is printed with BORDER FINE ARTS, B0300, LOST AND FOUND, HAND MADE IN SCOTLAND, and copyright dates for 1998 EEGG Ltd and 1972 James Herriot.
