A pair of hand-painted cold-cast resin animal studies of red deer by Border Fine Arts, Scotland, both designed by David Walton and mounted on polished wooden bases. The first figurine, titled Red Stag (Model No. 151), depicts a stag in a calling pose standing on a rocky outcrop decorated with flowering purple heather. The side of the rocky base is inscribed with the artist name David Walton and bears an imprinted factory mark © BFA SCOTLAND 1992. A white paper label on the green felt underside confirms the model number and title. The second figurine, titled Red Hind & Calf (Model No. 152), features a study of a hind and her spotted calf standing on rocky, mossy ground. This piece is similarly inscribed David Walton to the base with an imprinted mark © BFA SCOTLAND 1993 and carries a corresponding factory label to the underside. Both figures are mounted on dark wood plinths, one circular and one oval.
