This lot comprises a collection of decorative metalware, souvenirs, and fireside items, primarily manufactured from cast brass and copper. Utility items include a miniature copper coal helmet with a fixed overhead handle and a matching copper scoop with a brass handle. A cast brass chamberstick is present, featuring a circular base, finger ring, and a removable conical snuffer. Fireside accessories include a pair of wood and leather bellows with a brass nozzle and a horse brass depicting a horse and rider, alongside an assortment of long-handled brass fire tools including a hearth fork and tongs with openwork handles. The collection contains two cast brass nutcrackers in the form of crocodiles with hinged, serrated jaws, and two brass lizard figurines with textured detailing. Three silver-toned metal miniatures are included, featuring a standing boy, a monk figure with a barrel, and a small jug embossed with tavern scenes. Other decorative pieces include a cast brass novelty flintlock-style pistol with relief-moulded scrollwork and a brass Lincoln Imp figure mounted on a stone base. Souvenir items include two miniature brass anvils; one is inscribed THE BLACKSMITH’S ANVIL GRETNA GREEN OVER WHICH MARRIAGES WERE PERFORMED, and the other is cast with GRETNA GREEN and a horseshoe. A group of approximately eight cast brass horse brasses features various designs including a sunburst, a ship, and an anchor. An embossed brass plaque titled MOTHER depicts a seated woman in a domestic interior above a sentimental poem.
