A vintage garden watering can of traditional British utilitarian design, likely dating from the early to mid-20th century. The cylindrical body and long spout are constructed from galvanised steel, exhibiting a weathered grey surface. The item features a domed top with a circular aperture for filling. It is equipped with a large fixed overhead strap handle and a smaller loop handle at the rear for pouring. The long spout is reinforced by a twisted wire-work strut connected to the main body. The detachable perforated rose is made of copper or a copper alloy and exhibits a significant green verdigris patina. No maker’s marks, stamps, or labels are visible on the exterior of the item.
