A George V sterling silver cigarette case by William Neale & Son Ltd, hallmarked Birmingham, 1926. The exterior is decorated with a fine all-over engine-turned chevron pattern in the Art Deco style. The interior features a gilded finish and retains its original spring-loaded retaining arm. Hallmarks are struck to both interior covers and include the maker’s mark W.N LTD, the lion passant for sterling silver, the anchor for the Birmingham assay office, and the date letter B. The case is further stamped with patent number PAT N° 219190. Weight: Not recorded.
