An inert artillery shell casing constructed from polished brass, typical of mid-20th century military ordnance. The item features a cylindrical body with a flared, rimmed base and a central primer. The exterior has been polished to a high-lustre finish, while the interior remains in its original, unpolished state. The base exhibits impressed circular markings surrounding the primer; however, these are obscured by surface corrosion and wear, preventing definitive identification of the specific manufacturer, date, or calibre. Such casings were widely used by various Allied forces including United Kingdom and United States military branches and were frequently repurposed for decorative use.
