A collection of British Army personal equipment and accessories, primarily dating from the Second World War period, with items associated with a Scottish regiment. The collection includes a standard military pattern copper and brass bugle, fitted with a multi-coloured decorative cord in red, yellow, and black. Scottish regimental items comprise a red wool bonnet featuring a dark blue or black toorie and fringe with a leather internal sweatband, and a knitted wool hose top with a purple and blue diced pattern characteristic of the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders. The webbing and stowage include a khaki canvas haversack, commonly used for the Service Respirator, featuring internal dividers and a leather closure strap with a tab bearing a circular ink stamp marked A.S.T. 52-2. Also included is a dark green webbing belt with a blackened metal buckle and adjustment sliders. Anti-gas equipment consists of a rectangular green-painted metal tin for Ointment Anti-Gas No. 6 with printed instructions for mustard gas decontamination, and a small cylindrical metal anti-dimming tube for gas mask eyepieces. The lid of the anti-dimming tube is stamped No. 24B III B.W. & M. Ltd / 10/40, indicating production in October 1940.
