Buyer's Premium:

A collection of Royal Navy-related militaria and ephemera. The group features an original large-format monochrome crew photograph depicting a large complement of sailors and officers posed on the deck and superstructure of a naval vessel. The group is arranged around a central display of silver-plated trophies and a decorative shield featuring the Royal Cypher of King George VI (GR) beneath a Tudor crown. Included is a monochrome novelty photograph depicting three men in civilian dress, two of whom are seated with their legs in traditional wooden stocks. The collection also contains a heavy base metal tankard, likely pewter, hand-inscribed with H.M.S. ASHANTI on the body, likely referring to the Tribal-class destroyer commissioned in 1938. Completing the collection is a plated boatswain’s call featuring engraved foliate scrollwork on the keel. The circular buoy end bears a raised mark consisting of a stylized letter P over a T or anchor motif. The call is fitted with a small suspension ring.
