A British Pattern 1907 sword bayonet manufactured at the Royal Small Arms Factory, Enfield, for use with the Short Magazine Lee-Enfield (SMLE) rifle. The ricasso is stamped with the royal cypher of King George V (crown over GR) above the pattern designation 1907 and the maker code EFD. The numerals 1 15 or 1 16 indicate a production date of January 1915 or 1916. The opposite side of the ricasso displays the British broad arrow government property mark, a factory bend test X, and various small crown inspection stamps. The bayonet features a long, single-edged steel blade with a single fuller, a steel crossguard with a muzzle ring, and two wooden grip scales secured by slotted bolts. The steel pommel retains a functional push-button locking mechanism and an oil hole. No scabbard is present.
