A Hornby OO gauge electric train set and a separate dual power controller. The R1039 Flying Scotsman set comprises an LNER Class A1 4-6-2 locomotive numbered 4472 in apple green livery with a matching corridor tender. The rolling stock consists of four teak-effect LNER coaches with running numbers 22357, 4237, 22356, and 4236. The set includes a selection of curved and straight track sections, a point, and a small quantity of model foliage. A Hornby Model Railways product brochure is also included. The separate Hornby HM 2000 power controller, produced under the Hammant and Morgan brand, features dual speed controls for the independent operation of two trains, AC and DC auxiliary outputs, and is fitted with a UK three-pin plug. Construction is primarily of plastic with metal rails, wheels, and internal mechanical parts.
