A mid-century modern spherical ashtray constructed from deep cobalt blue glass. The body is decorated with a series of wheel-cut concave circular facets, known as lens cuts, creating a clear polka-dot pattern against the blue ground. It features a patinated brass swinging handle attached to the sides and a central, integral metal cigarette rest. The design is indicative of mid-20th-century Czechoslovakian glass production. No maker marks or signatures are present on the piece.
