A collection of service medals and military memorabilia relating to the service of 24514965 Corporal B. Sharp of the Royal Engineers. The group comprises a British Iraq Medal with the clasp 19 MAR TO 28 APR 2003, officially impressed to the rim 24514965 CPL B SHARP RE. This medal is currently mounted on a Volunteer Reserve Service Medal ribbon. The second medal is a Volunteer Reserve Service Medal (VRSM) with a Territorial suspension scroll, officially impressed to the rim 24514965 LCPL B SHARP RE, on its correct green, dark blue, and yellow striped ribbon. The third medal is a NATO Medal for Kosovo featuring the NATO star on the obverse and a KOSOVO clasp, unnamed as issued.
The lot also includes a large bronze-tone medallion for the 72 Engineer Regiment Patrol Competition, dated 1996. The medallion features a green enamelled centre with crossed rifles and a target, and the reverse is hand-engraved LCPL SHARP R.E. (V) 24514965. This is housed in a blue velvet-lined presentation case with a brass plaque to the interior lid inscribed WINNERS 1996 PATROL COMPETITION 72 ENGR REGT R.E.(V). Additionally, there is a bi-metal Royal Regiment of Artillery cap badge with a rotating wheel and two original white cardboard medal issue boxes bearing the St Edward’s Crown.
