A Thai Cast figure of a Thepanom, representing a celestial guardian or angel in Buddhist iconography. The figure is depicted in a kneeling position with hands held in Anjali Mudra, the traditional gesture of respect and greeting. The deity wears a tall, pointed Chada crown and is adorned with ceremonial jewellery and attire rendered in detailed relief carving. The surface is finished in black lacquer, with the decorative elements and headdress highlighted in gold leaf gilding. The reverse features excellent detail to the hair and garments, including crossed back straps.
