A contemporary studio art glass vessel of bulbous, irregular form, hand-blown from translucent amber-green glass. The exterior surface is decorated with an applied metallic leaf overlay that has been distressed and oxidised to create a dark, mottled brown and bronze finish. This metallic layer shows a fine network of intentional crazing and a textured surface created during the blowing process. The rim is irregularly pinched to create two handle-like apertures. The base features a large, ground and polished pontil mark. No signatures or maker’s marks are present.
