A trio of silver gelatin photographic prints depicting bustling maritime activity in the fishing port of North Shields during the Edwardian era. The images capture harbor scenes dense with steam trawlers and sailing drifters. The bottom-right print features a central vessel with the legible stern text COQUET and NORTH SHIELDS, alongside other boats bearing SN North Shields port registration codes. One elevated view shows buildings adorned with period advertising, including signage for VAUTS STOUT. Two of the prints are dated within the negative as 19-8-04 and 27-8-04 respectively. Each photograph is housed in a matching dark wood frame featuring a beaded gilt-effect inner slip and an off-white window mount.
